Bungie hired me to complete a series of emblems for the video game Destiny 2. These emblems are fashion pieces players use to flex their cosmetic taste. The team gave me total creative freedom! Emblems have a square format and 2 different wide formats in-game. A handful made it into the game's live development, and the others were saved as future ideas for Bungie.
"Magnetism" is all about cosmic moon energy. This emblem was available in 2022 and is part of the September Amazon Prime Gaming bundle. A big part of the emblem flex for players is the exclusive emblems.
"Seeds of Hope" is an emblem of unity, growth, and rising above high-risk challenges. It was earned during 2 Bungie Foundation fundraising events.
"Pareidolia" is inspired by the SIVA nanotechnology created by Clovis Bray in the Destiny 2 game lore, but more importantly, it's about the festive time of Halloween. Bats! Halloween is my favorite time of the year. The SIVA aesthetic is very geometric with strict 45-degree angles, so I combined that with a sketched texture.
It was only available during Festival of the Lost in 2022.
These are the extra emblems completed to complement Bungie's library of emblem assets. A few are already in the Destiny 2 game file, and others are in storage for future use.
